Our goal is to END BRAIN CANCER through patient advocacy, education and research. Dellann and Chris Elliott co-founded CEF 3 weeks before Chris’ death in 2002 from glioblastoma brain cancer – the deadliest form of brain cancer.
“We didn’t want people and their families to hear the words we kept hearing – ‘I’m sorry, there’s nothing more we can do,” says Dellann,“We must fight this disease from every angle and give every patient access to advanced treatments.”
In addition to promoting cutting-edge research and treatments, CEF established the first Integrated Patient Support Program at the Ben and Catherine Ivy Center for Advanced Brain Tumor Treatment at Seattle’s Swedish Neuroscience Institute, and the Chris Elliott Neuro-oncology Lab for Glioblastoma Brain Cancer Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. CEF has invested over $1 million to promote brain cancer research and genetic testing.
