Air Van Boise driver Cody Erickson competed in the straight truck division of the Idaho Truck Driving Championships. Cody is the first Air Van driver to compete in this competition. He represented Air Van Moving very well and placed 3rd overall in the straight truck division.

Ray Rice, Air Van’s Boise Branch VP, knows how to put “Safety First.” The Boise team participated in a staged safety class last week.
Kenworth Sales Boise, safety specialists in the trucking industry, staged 17 pre-trip inspection violations that apply to all types of trucks. 13 drivers participated and were given 7 minutes to inspect the truck while being evaluated by a panel of judges. They received points for every violation they discovered and also on general performance of their pre-trip evaluation procedure. This simulation is similar to how they are tested and evaluated for the Truck Driving Championships. Air Van Boise has team member Cody Erickson participating in the Truck Driving Championships this week.
The winning driver in the pre-trip inspection challenge was Pat Solis! Congratulations to Pat and to all of our participants for putting “Safety First.”
